WEST SIDE FIESTAS
West Side Boosters is proud to support and collaborate with the West Side Fiesta Committee to host our annual celebration events for Cinco de Mayo, Mexican Independence Day, and Día de los Muertos. These events are not just festivities; they are vibrant expressions of our cultural heritage, showcasing traditional music, dance, food, and art. Through these celebrations, we aim to foster a sense of unity and pride within our community, highlighting the significance of these important dates in Mexican history and culture.
We take great pride in our Mexican heritage and enthusiastically celebrate it with our community. By doing so, we ensure that our rich culture is shared and honored by all community members. These events are opportunities for cultural exchange and education, allowing us to share the beauty and diversity of Mexican traditions with everyone. We invite all community members to join us in these celebrations, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can experience and appreciate the richness of our cultural legacy.

OUR HISTORY
The West Side Fiesta Committee, in collaboration with the West Side Boosters, revived the Cinco de Mayo festival, which was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Building on the success of this event, they decided to expand by celebrating Mexican Independence Day/Football Fiesta and creating a new festival for Día de los Muertos. Highlights include bands, a lowrider show, a softball tournament, and 80 food and vendor booths, with proceeds supporting youth sports programs. Emphasizing community involvement and local vendor opportunities, these events will feature music, food trucks, and competitions, with streets closed off and police security. Everyone is invited to celebrate, and plans are underway to expand next year.
